Puffie’s story
Puffie was referred by AFCD and was one of the animals seized in a smuggling case. At that time, some of them succumbed to various diseases, and Puffie also contracted cat flu. Fortunately, after a period of treatment, Bala's condition has stabilized. If you would like to adopt this cat, please contact us at 2838 0633. *Address proof and photos of installed mosquito screens at home are required before making reservation for the visit.

保護遺棄動物協會(簡稱SAA) 是由一群關注動物權益和動物福利的人士於1997年6月4日創辦，以 「愛護動物‧尊重生命‧不殺不棄」為宗旨，並於1998年5月28日正式註冊成為政府認可的慈善團體。 會內的動物，即使動物們曾被遺棄、殘缺、年老、抑或生病，SAA都會為牠們找一個家和照顧到終老，不殺不棄！每次動物能夠成功覓得新主人，我們都感到非常歡欣雀躍，這亦是推動我們昂首向前，朝著拯救更多被遺棄動物的其中一個原因。 我們的營運主要是透過市民大眾的捐款和舉辦慈善活動來維持，所以SAA現在能夠發展成為全港其中一個最大的動物庇護中心都是全靠大家多年來的持續支持和慷慨捐助，讓更多被遺棄動物得以受惠! SAA主要服務範圍包括： 為被遺棄動物尋覓新主人 為需要尋求動物捐血的寵物主人提供協助 本會的「動物醫療中心」於2005年11月於SAA落成，其後在2010年5月在元朗市中心設立「SAA伍威權動物醫療中心」，中心內設有手術室及隔離病房，並協助推行「免費為車埸及貨倉動物進行絕育手術計劃」，藉此減少流浪動物的數目 探訪社會上有需要的人士 (例如: 老人家、情緒病患者、弱能人士等) 舉行不同類型的公眾教育活動，推廣動物應有的權益及福利 成功向漁護署爭取推行「捕捉、絕育、放回」(TNR)計劃，現正在試辦階段，希望能夠控制流浪狗數目
